01 Common questions
AUTOMATION · PRICING · GETTING STARTED
01 What do you mean by “AI automation”?

It's using AI and automation tools to take repetitive, manual work off your plate, the kind of task that gets done the same way over and over. That might be data copied by hand between systems, routine emails and follow-ups, recurring reports, or requests that need routing to the right place. It isn't a robot running your business. It's specific, well-chosen parts of the day handed to software that can do them faster and far more consistently than they get done by hand.

02 Do I need to be technical to work with you?

Not at all, and that's the point. I handle the technical side, build on the tools you already use, document everything in plain language, and walk you through how it works. You know your business better than anyone. My job is the tech that makes it run faster.

03 How does pricing work?

There are no fixed packages or published prices, on purpose. It starts with a free discovery call, and if there's something worth automating, I give you a flat price up front before any work begins. You only ever pay to build what pays off, and you'll know the number before you say yes, with no hourly meter and no moving targets.

04 What if you don't find anything worth automating?

Then I'll tell you, and we won't do it. The discovery call doubles as a first efficiency assessment, and part of my job is being honest about when automation isn't worth the cost. There's no obligation, and an honest “not yet” is a perfectly good outcome.

05 Will I have to replace my current software or tools?

No. I build on the tools you already use, like QuickBooks, your CRM, and your spreadsheets, rather than forcing a rip-and-replace. The goal is to make what you already have work better together, not to hand you a new system to learn.

06 How long does a typical project take?

It depends on what we're building, and you'll get a timeline along with the flat price before any work starts. Small automations can come together quickly; larger ones with several moving pieces take longer. Either way, you'll know the scope and the schedule up front, not as we go.

07 What happens after an automation is built?

It's yours, documented and handed over working, and you pay once for the build. If you'd like me to keep an eye on it, I offer optional ongoing maintenance: monitoring, fixes, and periodic tune-ups as the tools improve, sized to how much you have running. Some builds run fine on their own; others benefit from upkeep as your business and the tools change.

08 How do you handle data security and privacy?

Carefully, and it's a fair thing to ask about with anything involving AI. I work within your existing tools and their permissions, use reputable platforms, and limit each automation to the data it needs. We'll walk through exactly what's involved before anything is built, so there are no surprises about where your information goes.

09 How is this different from your bookkeeping service?

They're two sides of the same practice. Through CLW Solutions bookkeeping I offer remote bookkeeping, clean books in QuickBooks Online and tax-ready financials, and through this side I help businesses automate and streamline the repetitive work that eats their time. Same person, same standards on both: the bookkeeping keeps your books right, and the automation gives back the time you lose to manual work.

10 Do you work with businesses outside Wisconsin?

Yes. I'm based in Wisconsin's Fox Cities, but I work remotely with clients across the U.S. I do the work inside your software, so it makes no difference where you are.
